What are we looking for in a prospective student? We're here to make your job easier.
Why New College?
Located in Sarasota, Florida, New College of Florida is the public honors college that educates intellectually curious students for lives of great achievement. A New College education is very affordable as part of the Florida State University system and with guaranteed scholarships for incoming students, especially when compared to similar liberal arts schools.
Why do students love it here? Novo Collegians develop close working relationships with faculty, benefiting from undergraduate research opportunities not available at larger universities. We offer 50+ undergraduate majors, or Areas of Concentration, with a contract system where students customize their curriculum and receive narrative evaluations from their professors instead of grades. We also take a holistic approach to supporting our students on campus, from assistance with academic and career planning, to your health and well-being on campus. And our community is small but mighty on our historic campus on Sarasota Bay, with diverse student clubs and organizations and on campus events.
From our customized curriculum and hands-on learning approach, to career integration and affordability, find out what makes New College special.
An Exceptional and Affordable Education
Because New College is a public college, our in-state tuition and fees are significantly lower than those of private colleges. Along with Guaranteed Scholarships, our students receive an exceptional education at a state university value. Learn more about:
